click to enlarge"Puerto Iguazu" means Iguassu Harbor; in the Puerto Iguazu town, the visitors find a rich variety of articles produce in Argentina, clothing products, particularly the ones made in leather, perfumes, food, beverages, cheese and many others delicious things. There are approximately 50.000 inhabitants in Puerto Iguazu. If you visit the three landmarks on the Argentinean side, you will probably see the town.

Cruise on the Parana River
click to enlarge2 hours on a catamaran. On the way, there is a stop at Puerto Bertoni. One can see the native dance of fertility and also the Three-Frontier Landmark. Tours depart when the moon is full and on weekends. Daily departures during tourist season, one must check and see about it.

Humming Bird Garden (Jardin de los Picaflores)
click to enlargeThe bird lovers will find in this place 15 species of local humminbirds arriving from the subtropical rain forest. This garden is in the backyard of the Argentine woman house. She dedicating part of her life beautifying the garden. The humming birds and butterflies love to show up and enjoy the beautifull scenery. Entrance fee is USD $3.00.

Travel distance: 3 blocks from the bus station (terminal de omnibus)

Dra. Marta Schwarz Museum
click to enlargeThe "El Angel de la Selva" museum, in English "the angel of the jungle" used to be the house and office of the Dra. Marta Schwarz. She made her history helping poor people in a time that money was just a detail. It is a historical and a cultural place.
Location: 116 Victoria Aguirre street - Puerto Iguazu
Travel distance: in front of the Dra. Marta Schwarz public hospital
Open: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
 
Boat trip at the three borders
click to enlargeOne see the meeting of waters is the confluence between the Parana River, and the Iguassu River dividing the three countries, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. The tour also get people under the Fraternity Bridge between Brazil and Argentina.
