Upper Trail
click to enlargeThe upper trail starts 3/4 mile from the Visitorīs Center. From the Upper Circuit visitors can see the top of the Argentinean Falls, the San Martin Island and part of the Brazilian side of the Falls. It is a 1,750 meter (1 mile) roundtrip. There are no stairs on this trail, so wheelchair access is possible.

Open: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
 
Lower Trail
click to enlargeThe lower trail is a 1,400 meter (7/8 mile) long loop trail that allows the visitor to see the various smaller Argentinean waterfalls. Starting 1,500 meters (1 mile) from the Visitor Center this trail is equipped with restrooms and a snack bar. On this trail it is possible to get close to the Argentinean fall named Carlos Bossetti.

Devilīs Throat Trail
click to enlargeThe largest quantity of water passes through this part of Iguassu Falls. Named "Garganta del Diablo" (Spanish for Devils Throat), this part of the Falls is very high; 80 meters (266 feet) high. The visitor can get to within a few meters of Devils Throat by walking on the new catwalk (2.200 meters or 1.3 mile round trip). There are no stairs on the walkway. To reach Devils Throat one most get on the Ecological Train of the Jungle. People donīt need to show any ticket for it. As you are in the park you can use the train at any time. Another alternative to reach Devils Throat is walking on a dirt road for 2.365 meters (almost 1.5 miles).

San Martin Island
click to enlargeSan Martin Island is accessible by ferryboat from the Lower Circuit trail. There is a loop trail on the island, but to reach it the visitor must climb 174 very steep steps. There are new rails to help people to get to the top. This is not a climb recommended for the elderly, people with physical disabilities or heart conditions. Last ferryboat departs at 3:45 p.m. (summer time) and 3:00 p.m. (winter time). FOR SAFETY, THE ISLAND IT IS CLOSED SINCE DECEMBER 2018.

How to buy an advance ticket for the Iguazu National Park in Argentina
There is a chance to buy the voucher for a ticket of the Iguazu National Park in Argentina online in advance: online tickets for the Iguazu Falls in Argentina.
After buying, one must print the voucher and bring it. As arriving in the park one must show the voucher, ID or passport to collect the tickets, prices varying according to the nationality. One can also buy the tickets at the entrance of the park.
